The Walt Disney Company Earns 20 News & Documentary Emmy Awards
National Geographic Wins 10 Awards —
Including Its Most-Nominated Series, ‘Trafficked with Mariana Van Zeller,’ With Five Emmys

Marvel Studios Wins Its First-Ever Documentary Emmy
Collectively, The Walt Disney Company has won 20 News & Documentary Emmy® Awards across content brands and studios ABC News, Disney+, Hulu, Marvel Studios and National Geographic.
Following ABC News’ banner year of award nominations, “ABC World News Tonight with David Muir” earned two Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Live News Program for the second year in a row; ABC News Studios earned four Emmys, their first-ever for “On the Brink,” “Black in Vegas,” “Grand Knighthawk” and “Rap Trap: Hip-Hop on Trial.” Additionally, “IMPACT x Nightline” secured its first-ever Emmy Award for “On the Brink,” and “20/20” won two Emmys for longform projects, “It Happened Here: A Year in Uvalde” and “Our Barbara.” ABC News Live earned their first-ever Emmy Award for “Israeli Leader Speaks Out.”
After National Geographic set its own record earning the most nominations ever for the brand, it secured a total of 10 wins, including its most-nominated series, “Trafficked with Mariana van Zeller,” which won five awards. Additionally, “Incredible Animal Journeys,” “JFK: One Day in America,” “Path of the Panther,” “Nazis at Nuremberg: The Lost Testimony” and “Science Fair: The Series” each won awards.
Marvel Studios secured its first-ever documentary Emmy Award with “Stan Lee,” which traces his life from his challenging upbringing to the meteoric rise of Marvel Comics and is told in the voice of the Disney Legend.
