Sarah Gibbs
Sarah Gibbs has spent the last three years at the helm of INCREDIBLE ANIMAL JOURNEYS with Plimsoll Productions for National Geographic, relishing the challenge of taking the production from start to finish with a team filming over three years across all seven continents. The series included everything from expedition yachts to underwater shoots and remote Antarctic islands, from humpback whales to barn swallows and rockhoppers to salmon.
Prior to Plimsoll Productions, Gibbs was a series producer and then executive producer at the BBC, delivering high-end factual and entertainment programming. She began her career on the award-winning talk show “Parkinson” before stepping in to run some of the biggest factual shows on television, including the flagship BBC series “Countryfile.” She also developed and produced numerous high-end shows, including the first BBC commission for Nat Geo, “Kingdom of the Mummies,” giving her the privilege of following an archaeological dig in Egypt as the team made the discovery of a lifetime: a fully intact burial complex deep beneath the sand.
Gibbs has channeled her passion for the natural world into documentary content while delivering multiple presenter-led series from across the globe, including the prestigious “World’s Busiest Cities.” She made one of the first series revealing the impact of climate change on wildlife, “The Animal’s Guide to Survival” for Animal Planet.
