Mark Brownlow is a multiple BAFTA and EMMY Award-winning executive producer with over 25 years of programming experience across a broad range of wildlife television documentaries. With a passion for the oceans, as series producer of “Blue Planet II,” Brownlow employed groundbreaking technology and environmental storytelling to give an entirely new understanding of life beneath the waves. “Blue Planet II” went on to become the most-watched wildlife TV program of all time and was credited with galvanizing action around ocean plastics.
As executive producer of “Frozen Planet II,” Brownlow continued his commitment to making an entertaining, impactful, high-end blue chip, venturing to Antarctica to direct its seminal wave-washing killer whale sequences.
Other BBC credits include executive producer of “Eden: Untamed Planet” and “Earth’s Tropical Islands” and series producer of “Hidden Kingdoms.” He has also directed three award-winning giant screen films: “Tiny Giants” (originated in 3D), “Oceans: Our Blue Planet” and, most recently, “Arctic: Our Frozen Planet.”
