Faith Musembi is drawn to telling narratives which showcase the beauty of our natural world while highlighting the complex but pertinent issues regarding its sustainable conservation.
Musembi began her journey in natural history storytelling as a broadcast director for “SafariLIVE” - a live wildlife show produced in Kenya and South Africa for Nat Geo Wild. Since then, she has worked on series produced for National Geographic on Disney + and BBC Science. Her recent credits include “Chasing the Rains” (Love Nature, Sky Nature and Arte) and “Spectacular Earth” (BBC Science).
Working in wild spaces has affirmed Musembi's commitment and passion for telling stories about the natural world and for amplifying the dialogue about the conservation of its finite resources.
Musembi was recently awarded the Rising Star Award at Jackson Wild as well as being voted one of the Broadcast Hot Shots for 2022. She is the first Black Kenyan woman to produce and direct a premium natural history film.
