Vicki Lewis
Vicki Lewis stars as Headmaster Knightslinger, a stern, authoritarian educator who is unimpressed with Nory and her magical abilities, in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Upside-Down Magic,” based on the best-selling book series.
Lewis is perhaps best known to television audiences as Beth, the secretary on the classic NBC series “Newsradio.” She also starred opposite Dyan Cannon on NBC’s series “Three Sisters.” She was cast in her first film, “I’ll Do Anything,” after singing for James L. Brooks, who was so enamored with her voice she ended up singing through her entire songbook in the audition before he hired her. Additional film and television work include “Seinfeld,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “The Blacklist,” “Bones,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Middle,” “The Ugly Truth,” “Godzilla,” “Breakfast Of Champions,” “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Austin and Ally,” “‘Til Death” and “Mousehunt.”
A genuine triple threat, Lewis has appeared in numerous Broadway shows. She starred as Velma Kelly in the long-running hit “Chicago” and her electric performance of Shoeless Joe in “Damn Yankees” directed by Jack O’Brien and choreographed by Rob Marshall, which was staged live on the Tony Awards®, became a YouTube favorite. Last season, she was back on Broadway as Countess Lili in Darko Tresnjak’s exuberant production of “Anastasia.” She is looking forward to her next theater project as one of the stars in the new musical “Between The Lines,” based on the eponymous best-selling novel.
Lewis also has a successful voice-over career. Among her many characters, she voiced Deb and Flo in the Pixar blockbusters “Finding Nemo” and “Finding Dory.”
