Ariel, “Disney Jr.’s Ariel”

Mykal-Michelle Harris voices the lead character Ariel in “Disney Jr.’s Ariel,” an animated musical series inspired by “The Little Mermaid” that follows young mermaid princess Ariel as she embarks on fun-filled, action-packed adventures with her friends throughout their Caribbean-inspired fairytale kingdom of Atlantica.

In 2023, Harris won an EmmyⓇ Award for Outstanding Younger Performer in a Preschool, Children’s or Young Teen Program for her starring role as Raven’s young cousin Alice in Disney Channel’s hit series “Raven’s Home.” She also starred in ABC’s “mixed-ish” as Santamonica Johnson and “The Kid’s Tonight Show.” Her additional film and television credits include “Cheaper by the Dozen,” “Big Little Lies,” “The Affair,” “The Not Too Late Show with Elmo,” “Little Big Shots” and “A Kid Called Mayonnaise.”

At 3 years old, Harris recorded a video entitled “Like Serena” that went viral with over 15 million views across multiple platforms and resulted in appearances on “Good Morning America” and CNN, among others. She has been featured in national print work and runway fashion shows, starred in global commercials and made appearances on popular web series such as “L.O.L. Surprise!”

Born in New Jersey, Harris currently lives in the Los Angeles area, where she enjoys playing games with her friends and family, creating arts and crafts and filming short films with her brother.
