Meg Donnelly

Meg Donnelly voices Addison, an idealistic cheerleader and Zed’s girlfriend, in “ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series.”

As an actress, producer, singer and mental health advocate, Donnelly has steadily become known in the entertainment industry as a multihyphenate talent on the rise, bringing characters to life in film and television while releasing hit singles and cultivating her career behind the camera, recently adding the title of co-producer to her credits.

Donnelly was most recently seen starring in the drama series “The Winchesters.” This epic, untold love story follows John and Mary, a duo that puts everything on the line to save not only their love but the entire world. She was a standout as Mary, a hardened hunter who fought the forces of darkness since she was a child. At the brink of quitting the family business, she is coerced into leading a new team.

In addition to “The Winchesters,” Donnelly recently lent her voice to “Legion of Super-Heroes,” where she starred as Supergirl/Kara. Kara, devastated by the loss of Krypton, struggles to adjust to her new life on Earth. Her cousin, Superman, mentors her and suggests she leave their space-time to attend the Legion Academy in the 31st century, where she makes new friends and a new enemy: Brainiac 5.

Additional recent credits for Donnelly include the Disney+ series, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” opposite Joshua Bassett and Olivia Rodrigo, and her starring role as Addison in the third installment of the hit Disney Original Movie franchise “ZOMBIES,” which quickly became a global phenomenon upon its debut in 2018. “ZOMBIES 3” premiered in July 2022, with Donnelly at the helm as star and a co-producer for the groundbreaking musical.

Donnelly is often recognized for her starring role as Taylor Otto, opposite Katie Mixon, Diedrich Bader, Daniel DiMaggio and Ali Wong, in ABC’s long-running comedy series “American Housewife.” The sitcom, which ran for five seasons from 2016 to 2021, followed the Otto family as they struggled to fit in a wealthy town filled with perfect wives and their impeccable offspring. “American Housewife” aired over 100 episodes, allowing her to fine-tune her acting skills in the fast-paced sitcom world.

Traveling back and forth from Peapack, New Jersey, to New York City, Donnelly got her start in the entertainment industry in commercial/print work and music. At the age of 6, she began training in voice, dance and acting at Annie’s Playhouse – School of Performing Arts in Far Hills, New Jersey. A natural-born performer, she was drawn to the stage and quickly became the youngest performer in the APX Conservatory, a singing/dancing group that performed in various venues throughout New Jersey. At just 11 years old, she landed her first series regular role on “Team Toon.”

On the music front, Donnelly has honed her craft over the years as an independent artist. Her debut single, “Smile,” put her on the map as an internationally recognized artist to watch. Named one of Radio Disney’s NBT (Next Big Thing), she released her debut album “Trust” in December 2019.
Donnelly has performed on stage alongside Steve Aoki, The Jonas Brothers and Avril Lavigne and to tens of thousands of fans at Walt Disney World, Disney’s Fan Fest and Arthur Ash Stadium. On the road, she has opened for various acts, including the British pop trio New Hope Club and GRAMMYⓇ Award-winning artist Alessia Cara. Donnelly is currently working on new music to be released in 2024.

When Donnelly isn’t on set or in the studio, she is passionate about mental health awareness. As someone who has experienced anxiety from a young age, she has gone on to partner with various nonprofit organizations and hospitals, including the Children’s Health Fund and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals as an ambassador. By sharing her own experiences, tips and resources, she hopes that kids and young adults feel more supported in their journeys with mental health.

Donnelly currently resides in the Los Angeles area.
