Kylee Russell voices Eliza, a tech-savvy zombie and Zed’s best friend, in “ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series.”
A native Californian, Russell is an accomplished singer, songwriter and dancer. She started her career at 4 years old with more than 20 national commercials under her belt. Best known for her role as Eliza in the hit Disney franchise “ZOMBIES,” she will once again reprise her role in the fourth installment and in “ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series.”
Russell will be seen in the upcoming feature “#FBF” with Ashley Judd, Cree Cicchino and Maria Canals-Barrera. Other notable credits include Disney Channel’s “Jump In,” opposite Corbin Bleu and Keke Palmer; the lead role of Young Kari Peterson, opposite Tessa Thompson, in the award-winning independent movie “Mississippi Damned,” written and directed by Tina Mabry; and as Hayden Chase in Henry Winkler’s BAFTA and International Emmy® Award-nominated movie “Hank Zipzer’s Christmas Catastrophe.” Russell also sang all the original songs on the movie’s soundtrack.
Russell’s short films and television stints include the “NIKE’s House Guests: #BringYourGame” short film with Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and other superstar athletes, as well as guest-star roles in “Modern Family,” “Girl Meets World,” “Chasing Life,” “ER,” “Just Jordan,” “Still Standing” and “Eve.” In addition to her on-screen credits, her voice-over work includes Marvel’s animated series “Spider-Man.”
On the music side, an experienced vocalist with great pitch, distinct tone, five-octave range and interest in various genres of music style, Russell has collaborated with her sisters, Halle Russell and actress Chelsea Tavares. Together, they form the vocal group “DANDRIDGE” (appropriately named to pay homage to those who paved the way before them) and are working with Verdine White and John Paris of the legendary music group Earth Wind & Fire, the amazing songwriting team Kieran Scragg and Neil Reed of the music group IKO (Twilight’s “Heart of Stone”). Kylee and Halle wrote and performed “My Christmas Love,” featured in the film “Royal Christmas Holiday,” starring their sister Tavares and Debbie Morgan, Vivica Fox, Romeo and Richard Lawson.
