Kirk Van Wormer
Multitalented producer, director, storyboard artist, designer and illustrator Kirk Van Wormer is co-executive producer of “SuperKitties,” an adorable, action-packed series about four fierce and furry superhero kittens on a mission to make their town of Kittydale a more caring and “pawesome” place.
Van Wormer won the 2013 Emmy® for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation: Storyboards for his work on the “Transformers: Prime” CG-animated series. His additional storyboarding credits for animated film and television projects include Disney’s global hit series “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” and “My Friends Tigger & Pooh,” as well as “Transformers: RID,” “Jackie Chan Adventures,” ” Batman: The Dark Knight Returns,” “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” and many of the “Scooby-Doo” and “Justice League” direct-to-video feature films. He was also a producer on Nickelodeon’s preschool series “Sunny Day.”
His work can also be seen in numerous comic books, and his illustrations have been used in many high-level film projects, including Kevin Smith’s “Mallrats” and “Chasing Amy,” as well as David Fincher’s “Gone Girl.”
Van Wormer currently serves as series producer at Sony Pictures Television’s Kids division (formerly Silvergate Media) and creative director of Selfish Children Productions. He resides in New York with his partner of over 30 years and enjoys spending time making fun things in VR and watching cartoons with his animal menagerie.
