Jessica Mikayla
Jessica Mikayla voices Alanna in “Disney Jr.’s Ariel,” an animated musical series inspired by “The Little Mermaid” that follows young mermaid princess Ariel as she embarks on fun-filled, action-packed adventures with her friends throughout their Caribbean-inspired fairytale kingdom of Atlantica.
Both a theater actor and voiceover artist, Mikayla was recently nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Performance in a Short Form Series for “Disney Launchpad Presents: Project CC,” in which she played the leading role of Paris Brownlee. In 2023, she won a Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVA) Award for Best Voiceover for Outstanding Dubbing in International, TV or Streaming for her work in “Hawa.”
Her additional credits include the OscarⓇ-winning “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat,” Disney+’s “Diary of a Future President,” “You’re the Worst,” “The Chi,” “Mindhunter,” “Stillwater,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” and “LOL Surprise! Tots Road Trip.” She can next be heard as the character Jazz in the upcoming animated series “Good Times.”
A native of Compton, Mikayla volunteers as a children’s church leader. She is passionate about the need to stop gun violence and the importance of literacy in the inner city.
