Dove Cameron

Dove Cameron reprises her role as Mal, the daughter of Maleficent. As her prominence in Auradon grows, Mal feels the responsibility to protect the kingdom at all costs and is faced with a difficult decision to permanently close the barrier to the Isle of the Lost, which could jeopardize friendships with her fellow VKs, in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Descendants 3,” the highly anticipated trequel in the global hit “Descendants” franchise.

In addition to her “Descendants” character Mal, Cameron is likely best known for her Emmy® Award-winning dual role as both title characters in Disney Channel’s “Liv and Maddie.” Cameron has appeared in Netflix’s “Dumplin’,” opposite Jennifer Aniston, and the feature film “Barely Lethal,” with Hailee Steinfeld, Jessica Alba and Samuel L. Jackson. She also had a recurring role as Ruby Hale on “Marvel’s Agents of Shield” on ABC.

Most recently, Cameron starred as Cher in the off-Broadway production of “Clueless, The Musical.” Before her 2018 off-Broadway debut, Cameron’s musical theatre resumè included roles as Sophie in the 2017 Hollywood Bowl production of “Mamma Mia!” and Amber Von Tussle in the NBC live musical “Hairspray Live!” This spring, Cameron is set to star in “The Light in the Piazza” in London.

Cameron currently voices Spider-Gwen in the animated “Marvel Rising” series and recorded the title song “Born Ready” for the animated film “Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors.” She has also completed voice-over work for the animated feature “Angry Birds 2.”

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Cameron enjoys cooking, baking, sewing, reading, writing and singing.

She currently resides in Los Angeles.
