Deric McCabe

Deric McCabe stars as Jon Anthony, a fashion prodigy full of attitude and passion, in the Disney Original Movie “The Naughty Nine.”

At the age of 7, McCabe told his parents he wanted to be an actor. His parents enrolled him in an acting class, where he was discovered by a talent manager. He was soon featured in commercials, including Hot Wheels, Big Lots, Chubb Insurance and Burger King, and print ads for Fitbit and Nordstrom.

McCabe got his big break by landing the highly coveted role of Charles Wallace in Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” directed by Ava DuVernay and opposite Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon. He then went on to star as Spoon in the Apple TV+ series “Home Before Dark.”

Born in Whitefish, Montana, McCabe’s family relocated back to Los Angeles, California (where his mother grew up) when McCabe was just 5 months old. When he’s not acting, he enjoys swimming, playing video games, and hanging out with his siblings. McCabe is of half-Filipino descent.
