Deborah Baker Jr.
Deborah Baker Jr. voices Sara, an intensely competitive kid who is a bit of a wildcard, in “StuGo,” an original animated series about six middle schoolers who get tricked into attending a fake academic summer camp by a mad scientist. What started as three months of learning transforms into an adventure of a lifetime on a tropical island filled with mind-reading manatees, giant fighting fungi, and fashion-forward mutants.
Baker Jr. is a neurodivergent and dyslexic actor, activist and advocate, best known for her roles in IFC’s “Stan Against Evil” as Denise Miller and CBS’ “The Great Indoors” as Esther. She is also recognized for her recent recurring role on CBS’ “The Neighborhood” as Brittany, the sister of Beth Behrs’ character, and for voicing the quirky puppet Regina on Comedy Central’s “Blark and Son.”
A seasoned performer, Baker Jr. thrives in the world of improv, regularly performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and various indie shows around Los Angeles. She has a fun, larger-than-life presence that was featured in her memorable run as the RumChata Fairy, the spokesperson for RumChata liqueur.
Raised in both Boston, Massachusetts, and Boca Grande, Florida, Baker Jr.’s love for performing began at the age of 3, sparking a lifelong passion for acting. She is an alumna of the Foxcroft School for Girls and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
When she’s not on screen, Baker Jr. is deeply committed to philanthropy. She has served as a
NextGen Member for UNICEF and mentors aspiring young storytellers through the Young Storytellers program. As an honorary board member of The Dyslexia Foundation, an organization founded by her late father, William Baker Jr., she works to raise awareness and support for dyslexia and neurodiversity.
A new mom, Baker Jr. balances her career with family life, finding joy in painting, writing and photography. She enjoys creating content featuring her dog, Bruce, and continues to use her
platform to inspire and advocate for inclusivity in the entertainment industry.
