Anna Gerb is executive producer of the Disney Channel Original Movie "ZOMBIES 2," the highly anticipated sequel to the hugely successful "ZOMBIES."
Gerb produced Maryam Keshavarz's "Viper Club," starring Susan Sarandon, Edie Falco and Matt Bomer in partnership with YouTube Red. She was executive producer on J.C. Chandor's "Triple Frontier," starring Oscar Isaac, Ben Affleck, Pedro Pascal, Charlie Hunnam and Garrett Hedlund. She also executive produced Ricky Tollman's indie film "Run This Town," starring Ben Platt, Nina Dobrev and Mena Massoud.
In recent years, Gerb has produced Chandor's "A Most Violent Year," starring Oscar Isaac, Jessica Chastain and David Oyelowo, which was nominated for a Golden Globe® Award and three Independent Spirit Awards. She also produced Chandor's "All Is Lost," starring Robert Redford, and co-produced "Margin Call." Both were nominated for Academy Awards®, Golden Globe Awards and Independent Spirit Awards.
Together with Chandor and producing partner Neal Dodson, Gerb started CounterNarrative Films. Through this banner, the three produce Chandor's films, and also produce projects with other filmmakers. Some of these projects include "The Liar's Ball," in partnership with Keshet; a remake of the German film "The Robber," with "It" screenwriter Chase Palmer; and an untitled film about the female Yazidi soldiers, with writer-director Sarah Gertrude Shapiro. The team premiered Alejandro Landes's foreign film "Monos" at Sundance, which was just released with Neon in the U.S.
For many years, Gerb was executive producer/head of production at Washington Square Films in New York, where she oversaw film, television and commercial productions. Back in her native Canada, she produced the film "Blood," directed by Jerry Ciccoritti and nominated for Genie and DGC Awards. She also produced James Hyslop's documentary "Me, Myself and the Devil" for the CBC.
Gerb is a member of the Producers Guild of America and New York Women in Film and Television, where she previously served on the board of directors.
