Alkaio Thiele
Actor, singer and voiceover artist Alkaio (al-KAY-oh) Thiele (theel) stars as Roman, Justin Russo’s oldest son, in the upcoming series “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,” a continuation of the Emmy® Award-winning “Wizards of Waverly Place.”
Thiele began his professional acting career at the age of 11. Within months of committing to the entertainment industry, he booked feature film roles in “A Christmas Mystery” and festival award-winner “I’ll Be There,” quickly followed by his first television role on “Call Me Kat” alongside Mayim Bialik.
Thiele immediately made his mark in the world of animation as series-lead Janner in the fantasy-adventure series “The Wingfeather Saga.” He fulfilled a childhood dream of becoming a superhero when he became the voice of Spidey (aka Peter Parker) in season three of “Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends,” and Jett in the feature film “Super Wings: Maximum Speed.” Additionally, Thiele is the lead voice in a highly anticipated Cartoon Network comedy series and is featured in an Amazon anthology drama series, both slated for release in late 2024.
Thiele’s exceptional singing, dancing and improvisation have afforded him numerous notable regional theater credits, including Michael Hobbs in Ogunquit Playhouse’s “Elf the Musical,” Sam in For the Record’s “Love Actually Live” and the Artful Dodger in 5-Star Theatricals’ “Oliver!”
When not immersed in professional projects, Thiele loves to sing, bike, travel, hike, swim, climb, produce amateur short films, play team sports, solve New York Times puzzles, go to extreme lengths to make people laugh, adventure with his family, watch every touring Broadway musical, and participate in fellowship.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Thiele currently resides in Los Angeles.
