Director:
The Naughty Nine
Alberto Belli is the director of the Disney Original Movie “The Naughty Nine,” a holiday heist adventure set at the North Pole.
Alberto Belli is a computer science engineer whose love for storytelling turned him into a director. He moved from Mexico to Los Angeles to get his MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where he received the prestigious John Huston directing merit scholarship.
His eclectic body of work, including commercials, TV episodes, and movies, has been recognized at Oscar®-qualifying film festivals, including SXSW, HollyShorts and Cannes Lions. His feature debut, “Gatlopp,” a fantasy/comedy about a supernatural drinking game, premiered at number eight on HBO Max worldwide with rave reviews. He has also directed major international ad campaigns for Visa, Hyundai and Snickers. He broke into the TV world by directing episodes for the Netflix acclaimed series “La Casa de las Flores.” He most recently directed an episode for Greg Daniel’s Amazon hit series “Upload” and has a couple of shows in development at Sony and Amazon with Norman Lear and Brent Miller producing.
When he is not on set, Belli enjoys hiking, cooking and singing, on repeat, “You’re Welcome” by Dwayne Johnson to his toddler. (It’s unclear who enjoys it the most, the baby ... or the dad.)
