Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul
Executive Vice President, Publicity, and Head of Communications, Disney Entertainment Television
Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul is executive vice president, Publicity, and head of Communications for Disney Entertainment Television. In this role, she oversees all internal and external communications for the television arm of Disney Entertainment, including Disney Global Advertising and ABC Owned Television Stations, reporting to Dana Walden, co-chairman, Disney Entertainment; and is responsible for all publicity campaigns and events for ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Freeform, Onyx Collective and Syndication, reporting to Shannon Ryan, president, Marketing, Disney Entertainment Television.
Bulochnikov-Paul’s purview includes some of the most popular and widely known titles across a broad television landscape, including “Abbott Elementary,” “The Bachelor” franchise, “General Hospital,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Live with Kelly and Mark,” “Shark Tank” and “The View,” as well as ABC News’ “Good Morning America” and “World News Tonight with David Muir” which continue to lead as the most-watched morning and evening news programs in America. Additionally, ABC regained and holds the title of No. 1 entertainment network for the fourth consecutive season – a first in 30 years – fueled in part by more of the Top 10 live entertainment events in primetime than any other network, including “The Oscars®,” “The CMA Awards,” “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” and “Live in Front of a Studio Audience.” Additionally, ABC garnered 28 Emmy® Award nominations in 2023, more than any other broadcast network.
Bulochnikov-Paul’s innovative and socially impactful strategies have helped propel multiple properties into the cultural zeitgeist, including “The Golden Bachelor,” ABC’s No. 1 new series premiere ever on Hulu and the highest-rated debut for an unscripted series on any network since January 2022. On the scripted side, “Abbott Elementary” continues to garner rave reviews and was the only broadcast show to score nominations in any of the major Emmy® categories last year, landing three wins, including Writing for a Comedy Series and Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Additionally, ABC was the only broadcast network to receive accolades at the Golden Globes®, where “Abbott Elementary” picked up three wins.
A veteran communications leader across multiple Disney brands, Bulochnikov-Paul’s scope includes Onyx Collective, Disney Entertainment Television’s newest premium content label focusing on artists of color and underrepresented voices. She joined ABC Entertainment in 2019 from cable sibling Freeform, where she served as vice president, Communications, overseeing strategic communications efforts, program publicity and talent relations. She joined Freeform two years earlier, on the heels of the company’s rebrand from ABC Family, and quickly made an impact with her work on the first-ever Freeform Summit, which positioned the network as an industry leader in young adult programming, elevating the brand and creating scalable conversation amongst storytellers. Bulochnikov-Paul and her team also launched brand-defining shows such as “The Bold Type,” “grown-ish,” “Good Trouble” and more.
She later briefly moved to Netflix as director of original series publicity before returning to Freeform. During her second tenure, Bulochnikov-Paul’s bold leadership and hyper-targeted media, influencer and validator outreach helped distinguish Freeform as a cultural leader in the “new adult” space.
In her career, she has also served as vice president, media and talent relations for Crackle, Sony Pictures Television’s streaming network, where she created groundbreaking press strategies that drove awareness for the network while effectively utilizing the interplay between social, influencers and media to drive reach. She orchestrated the media campaign for Crackle’s flagship series, “Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” resulting in an Emmy nomination in the Variety Talk Series category – the first streaming network to ever be nominated in that category – as well as two nominations for animated series, “Supermansion.”
Bulochnikov-Paul has been recognized by peers for her achievements in the communications field. Recent accolades include Variety’s Hollywood’s New Leaders list (40 Under 40), Cynopsis’ Top Women in Media and Ragan’s Top Women in Communications.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications and sociology from Hofstra University.
