With Largest Margin Over CBS in 12 Years, ‘This Week With George Stephanopoulos’ Is No. 1 in Total Viewers for 2nd Week Running
‘This Week’ Grows in Total Viewers Week to Week and Turns in Double-Digit Growth Year to Year in Both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54
“This Week with George Stephanopoulos” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (2.885 million) on Sunday, July 14, 2024, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research, taking the top spot for the 2nd straight telecast.
- “This Week” outperformed CBS’ “Face the Nation” (2.458 million) by its largest Total Viewer margin (+427,000) in nearly 12 years — since 9/2/12, based on regular telecasts.
- For the 4th consecutive week, “This Week” grew from the previous week in Total Viewers (+10% – 2.885 million vs. 2.625 million).
- “This Week” attracted its largest overall audience in nearly 9 months, with its 2nd-best performance of the season behind only its season premiere — since 10/1/23.
- For the 2nd week in a row, “This Week” turned in double-digit gains year to year in both Total Viewers (+31% – 2.885 million vs. 2.201 million) and Adults 25-54 (+55% – 493,000 vs. 318,000).
- Season to date, “This Week” is beating NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers for the 3rd straight season (2.504 million vs. 2.501 million).
George Stephanopoulos is anchor, Martha Raddatz is chief global affairs correspondent and co-anchor, and Jonathan Karl is chief Washington correspondent and co-anchor of “This Week.” Brooke Brower is the executive producer.
ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” NBC’s “Meet the Press” and Fox’s “Fox News Sunday” each air for 60 minutes, while CBS’ “Face the Nation” airs for 30 minutes.
