‘This Week’ Delivers Largest Overall Audience in 3 Months and Best News Demo Performance in More Than a Year
‘This Week’ Posts Double-Digit Growth Week to Week and Year to Year
“This Week with George Stephanopoulos” ranked No. 1 in both Total Viewers (2.625 million) and Adults 25-54 (516,000) on Sunday, July 7, 2024, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research, taking the top spot in the key Adult news demo for the 3rd consecutive telecast.
- For the 3rd week in a row, “This Week” saw gains on the previous week in both Total Viewers (+11% – 2.625 million vs. 2.360 million) and Adults 25-54 (+19% – 516,000 vs. 435,000).
- “This Week” drew its largest overall audience in over 3 months and delivered its best news demo performance in more than 1 year — since 3/24/24 and 6/11/23, respectively.
- “This Week” scored double-digit increases year to year in both Total Viewers (+14% – 2.625 million vs. 2.298 million) and Adults 25-54 (+31% – 516,000 vs. 395,000).
NOTE: NBC’s “Meet the Press” was retitled to “Meet the Press-MTP” and CBS’ “Face the Nation” was retitled to “Face-Nation” due to the Fourth of July holiday. The retitled telecasts are excluded from the season averages.
George Stephanopoulos is anchor, Martha Raddatz is chief global affairs correspondent and co-anchor, and Jonathan Karl is chief Washington correspondent and co-anchor of “This Week.” Brooke Brower is the executive producer.
ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” NBC’s “Meet the Press” and Fox’s “Fox News Sunday” each air for 60 minutes, while CBS’ “Face the Nation” airs for 30 minutes.
