WITH DOUBLE-DIGIT GAINS WEEK TO WEEK AND YEAR TO YEAR, ‘THIS WEEK WITH GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS’ LEADS NBC BY LARGEST TOTAL VIEWERS MARGIN IN 15 MONTHS
Season to Date, ‘This Week’ Beats NBC in Total Viewers for the 4th Consecutive Season by Largest Total Viewers Margin in 28 Years
“This Week with George Stephanopoulos” averaged 2.500 million Total Viewers and 408,000 Adults 25-54 on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.
- “This Week” (2.500 million) turned in its largest Total Viewer margin (+408,000) over NBC’s “Meet the Press” (2.092 million) in 15 months — since 8/20/23, based on regular telecasts.
- “This Week” posted double-digit gains week to week in Total Viewers (+10% – 2.500 million vs. 2.269 million) and Adults 25-54 (+24% – 408,000 vs. 329,000).
- “This Week” also turned in double-digit gains year to year in Total Viewers (+11% – 2.500 million vs. 2.257 million) and Adults 25-54 (+11% – 408,000 vs. 367,000).
- Season to date, “This Week” is beating NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers (+176,000 – 2.557 million vs. 2.381 million) for the 4th consecutive season. In addition, “This Week” is leading the NBC program by its largest Total Viewers margin at this point of the season in 28 years — since the 1996-1997 season.
George Stephanopoulos is anchor; Martha Raddatz is chief global affairs correspondent and co-anchor, and Jonathan Karl is chief Washington correspondent and co-anchor of “This Week.” Brooke Brower is the executive producer.
ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” NBC’s “Meet the Press” and Fox’s “Fox News Sunday” each air for 60 minutes, while CBS’ “Face the Nation” airs for 30 minutes.
