Monday, Jan. 20: (OAD: 11/18/24) Unforgettable Legacy: A Tam Fam DAYTIME EXCLUSIVE with 90s TV star JALEEL WHITE. In his new memoir, “Growing Up Urkel,” JALEEL talks about his iconic role as Steve Urkel on “Family Matters” and the impact it’s had on his career. Plus, life with his new wife and daughter. Then, RAIN and RICHARD PRYOR JR. join us to talk about their new project in honor of their late father.
Tuesday, Jan. 21: 20 Years of YouTube!: We’re marking 20 years of YouTube, seeing where viral YouTubers are now after fame. Comedian and YouTube legend GLOZELL GREEN went viral in 2008 with her video “My push-up bra will help me get my man.” What’s life like 60 million views later? Then, DAVID DEVORE JR., aka “DAVID AFTER DENTIST,” who went mega-viral in 2009 after reeling from the effects of dental surgery, joins us to discuss the life-changing video from when he was 7. “CHOCOLATE RAIN GUY” TAY ZONDAY joins us 18 years and 139 million views after he became world famous with the video he shot in his apartment.
Wednesday, Jan. 22: What Happened Next?: The stories lighting up social media and the headlines that have everyone asking, “And then what?” Controversial sperm donor ARI NAGEL, who has fathered 173 kids, discusses his decision to retire from donating. Plus, the mother of twins conceived with Ari’s donation joins us. Co-hosts RAHNE JONES and TRAVIS MILLS from MTV’s “Help! I’m in a Secret Relationship” are here with a couple from their hit show. What happened after one woman told her boyfriend a secret on the reality series? MACKENZIE VAN EYK joins the Tam Fam to talk about the extraordinary connection between her childhood and her daughter through a message in a bottle she wrote 26 years earlier.
Thursday, Jan. 23: True Crime With Tamron Hall: We are delving into some of the most shocking and talked about true crime stories and meeting the real people behind them. In a DAYTIME EXCLUSIVE, we meet ROBIN PUTSCHER, the sister of HOPE YBARRA, who convinced the world and her family that her youngest daughter had cystic fibrosis and that she, herself, had cancer. We meet CATHY TERKANIAN from the documentary “Into The Fire,” the story of a mother desperate to get to the bottom of her daughter’s disappearance with the help of amateur detective CARL KOPPELMAN. Author and award-winning podcaster ANDREA DUNLOP, who began covering cases of Munchausen syndrome by proxy after she said her own family was affected, joins us to discuss her new book, “The Mother Next Door,” with OFFICER MIKE WEBER, the country’s only detective who specializes in these kinds of crimes. And, we welcome NPR “Fresh Air” host TONYA MOSLEY, who got a call asking for help in finding a missing woman who also happened to be the sister she never knew about.
