For the First Time in 16 Years, ABC News Is No. 1 Broadcast Network Across All Key Demos in Total Viewers, Adults 25–54, Adults 18–49 on Election Night

For the first time in 16 years, ABC News’ “Election Night 2024: Your Voice/Your Voice” ranked No. 1 among the broadcast networks in all key target demos — Total Viewers (5.898 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.288 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.928 million), according to the early Fast Nationals Ratings from Nielsen Media Research. “World News Tonight” anchor and managing editor David Muir led the network’s coverage with ABC News’ powerhouse political team.

• ABC News outdelivered the primetime coverage in Total Viewers (5.898 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.228 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.928 million) versus CBS’ “Campaign 2024” (3.608 million, 1.257 million and 1.080 million, respectively), NBC’s “Decision 2024” (5.507 million, 2.216 million and 1.854 million, respectively) and Fox’s “Democracy 2024” (1.614 million, 683,000 and 504,000, respectively).
