ABC News To Air One-Hour Primetime Special, ‘Trump | Assassination Attempt: Minute by Minute,’ Anchored by David Muir and President Joe Biden’s Address Sunday, July 14, on ABC

ABC News Programs Feature Special Editions, and ABC News Live, ABC News Radio and ABC News Digital Have Been and Will Continue To Be in Rolling Live Coverage

ABC News announced today continuing special coverage of the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump and the deadly shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania. “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir will anchor a one-hour primetime special, “Trump | Assassination Attempt: Minute by Minute,” on Sunday, July 14, immediately after the network airs President Joe Biden’s address to the nation from the Oval Office beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC. President Biden’s remarks will air at 5:00 p.m. PT, and the network special will air at 8:00 p.m. PT. Muir will be joined by chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce, chief justice correspondent Pierre Thomas, chief Washington correspondent and “This Week” co-anchor Jonathan Karl, chief global affairs correspondent and “This Week” co-anchor Martha Raddatz, “World News Tonight” Saturday anchor and “Good Morning America” weekend co-anchor Whit Johnson, senior congressional correspondent Rachel Scott, correspondent Aaron Katersky and executive editorial producer John Santucci.

Muir will anchor a special edition of “World News Tonight” tonight, Sunday, July 14, at 6:30 p.m., ET. This morning, co-anchors Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan anchored a special edition of “Good Morning America,” and Stephanopoulos also anchored a special edition of “This Week” with Karl. “Good Morning America, “World News Tonight with David Muir,” “Nightline” anchored by Juju Chang and other ABC News programs and platforms will have special editions on Monday, July 15, and continue to cover the latest details throughout the week.

ABC News Live, the network’s 24-7 live streaming network, has been in live anchored coverage since the moment the shooting happened last night and today with anchor Diane Macedo. ABC News Live presents more special programming featuring “Prime” anchor Linsey Davis leading coverage from 5:00-10:00 p.m. ET, including President Biden’s address at 8:00 p.m. ET, followed by the network’s special “Trump | Assassination Attempt: Minute by Minute” at 10:00 p.m. ET. ABC News Live is always available on Hulu for all subscribers and can also be viewed on all major streaming platforms.

ABC News Radio has been covering the shooting since it happened and is offering wall-to-wall coverage of major developments, providing stations with a one-hour primetime special, including President Biden’s address, on Sunday, July 14, from 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET anchored by correspondent Alex Stone and featuring live reports from correspondent Jim Ryan, national correspondent Steven Portnoy and White House correspondent Karen Travers. ABC News Radio is also providing coverage to stations in hourly newscasts and multiple minute-long special reports every hour, as well as access to sound on its Newscall cuts and feeds service. ABC News’ daily podcast “Start Here,” hosted by Brad Mielke, will feature a special edition on the shooting on Monday, July 15.

ABC News Digital has comprehensive coverage, including a live blog with the latest developments, a forensic timeline video, and reporting on the victim, survivors, bystanders, the political impact of the assassination attempt, Secret Service security plans, and the alleged shooter.
