Sarah de la O
Nine-time Emmy® Award winner Sarah de la O is in her 10th season directing ABC’s “The View.” The Latina director holds the distinction of being the first and only female director of the award-winning talk show, now in its 28th season. In 2024, de la O and “The View”’s directing team was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing Team for a Multiple Camera Daytime Non-Fiction Program.
De la O’s primetime credits include ABC’s “Bachelor Pad,” “After the Final Rose,” “The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All” and “The Bachelor: The Women Tell All.”
Her early and extensive directorial experience also includes work directing live talk shows and events, including VH1’s “Make a Band Famous,” Telemundo’s “La Voz kids,” “E3 All Access Live” for Spike, “Crowd Goes Wild” with Regis Philbin, Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” “Big Morning Buzz” on VH1, and red-carpet coverage for the TV Guide Network.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, de la O is a graduate of the University of California at San Diego. She resides in New York with her daughter.
