Dan Abrams
Dan Abrams currently serves as the chief legal analyst for ABC News. He is a regular contributor to all ABC News programs including “Good Morning America,” “World News Tonight,” “20/20” and “This Week.”
Abrams joined ABC News as a legal analyst in February 2011 when he was also hosting Discovery ID’s “Chasing Justice with Dan Abrams.” He served as a co-anchor of Nightline and a substitute anchor for “Good Morning America” before leaving his full-time anchor roles at ABC News in late 2014. He is now the host of top-rated “Live PD” on the A&E Network and of “The Dan Abrams Show” every weekday on Sirius XM’s POTUS Channel. Prior to 2011, Abrams worked at NBC for 15 years as a reporter for NBC’s “Nightly News,” host on MSNBC and chief legal correspondent for NBC News. From 2006 to late 2007, he served as general manager of MSNBC, where he presided over a period of unprecedented growth, with ratings and profits each increasing well over 50% during his tenure. During that time, he was also a member of the NBC Universal President’s Council.
Abrams is founder and CEO of Abrams Media, which includes the 24/7 Law&Crime Network as well as popular websites like Mediaite.com and TheMarySue.com. Together, the Abrams Media Network welcomes over 10 million unique visitors per month.
A graduate of Columbia University Law School, Abrams is a recognized writer. He has published multiple articles in The New York Times and Wall Street Journal, in addition to The Yale Law and Policy Review, The Daily Beast and Mediaite, among many others.
Abrams first book, “Man Down: Proof Beyond a Reasonable Doubt That Women Are Better Cops, Drivers, Gamblers, Spies, World Leaders, Beer Tasters, Hedge Fund Managers and Just About Everything Else,” was a Washington Post Bestseller; and his most recent two books, “Lincoln’s Last Trial: The Murder Case That Propelled Him to The Presidency” and “Theodore Roosevelt for the Defense: The Courtroom Battle to Save His Legacy,” both spent multiple weeks on The New York Times Bestseller lists.
