Aaron Katersky
Aaron Katersky is an ABC News award-winning correspondent and senior investigative reporter covering public safety, political corruption and the criminal justice system. He reports across ABC News programs and platforms, including “Good Morning America,” “World News Tonight with David Muir,” “Nightline,” “20/20,” ABC News Live and ABC News Radio.
Most recently, Katersky has been the network’s lead reporter covering the prosecutions and civil trials of former President Donald Trump.
Katersky joined ABC in 2003 as a radio reporter embedded with U.S. Marines in Iraq. His role in radio led him to become ABC News Radio’s lead special events anchor and correspondent for nearly two decades, where his voice became synonymous with some of the most important domestic and international breaking news events in recent history.
He has traveled the country and the world, including reporting from war zones in Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel and Ukraine. He covered the historic Arab Spring in Egypt, the selection of Pope Benedict and the beatification of Pope John Paul II in Rome, and the scenes of terror attacks in Belgium, Egypt, France and the U.K. Since 1996, Katersky has covered every political convention and has traveled to the locations of mass shootings, natural disasters and terror attacks across the country.
He is the recipient of numerous Edward R. Murrow and Emmy Awards.
He lives in New York with his wife and daughter.
