‘The Oscars®’ Tops 21 Million Multiplatform Viewers To Hit 4-Year High

More photos are available here. “The Oscars” (21.01 million Total Viewers and 4.35 rating among AD18-49 in MP+7): After seven days of viewing on ABC, Hulu and digital platforms, the 96th Oscars grew to 21.01 million Total Viewers and hit a 4.35 rating among Adults 18-49. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, “The Oscars” scored its biggest multiplatform audience in 4 years (21.01 million) – since the 2020 broadcast. “The Oscars” built for the 3rd consecutive year in Total Viewers, growing over the prior year’s broadcast by 5% (21.01 million vs. 19.93 million). More photos available here. “The Oscars®” (7:00-10:29 p.m. – 19.5 million and 3.81 rating in AD18-49): Starting one hour earlier than usual, the 96th Oscars on ABC drew an average audience of 19.5 million Total Viewers and scored a 3.81 rating among Adults 18-49 based on Fast National Live+Same Day program data. “The Oscars” hit a 4-year high in Total Viewers (19.5 million) – since the 2020 broadcast. “The Oscars” grew for the 3rd straight year in Total Viewers, improving over last year’s broadcast by nearly 1 million viewers (19.5 million vs. 18.8 million). This marks Julianne Hough’s inaugural year and Hudgens’ third consecutive year hosting the official pre-show. ABC News Celebrates Hollywood’s Biggest Night With Special Coverage Across Programs and Platforms

ABC News will celebrate the 96th Oscars with special programming, including the live pre-show “Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live!” on Sunday, March 10, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. EDT/10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. PDT. The pre-show coverage will also stream on ABC News Live, beginning at 1:00 p.m. EDT/10:00 a.m. PDT and continue throughout the day until the start of the Oscars ceremony.
