Danny Amendola

Danny Amendola is a former NFL wide receiver who played 13 seasons and is a two-time Super Bowl Champion as a member of the New England Patriots (2015 and 2017).

His athletic career began in high school when he attended Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, Texas, a suburb of Houston. Amendola went on to play his college football at Texas Tech and was recently inducted into the Texas Tech Red Raiders Hall of Fame in 2024.

His professional football career in the NFL began when he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys in 2008. He became a breakout star in St. Louis before signing a five-year contract with the New England Patriots in 2013.

While in New England, Amendola became a trusted receiver of quarterback Tom Brady and a fan favorite known for making his biggest plays and having his best games when the stakes were highest in the NFL playoffs. In three Super Bowl games, Amendola amassed 278 yards and two touchdowns including critical fourth quarter touchdowns in Super Bowl XLIX and LI including the game-tying two-point conversion of the famous 28-3 Super Bowl Comeback game against the Atlanta Falcons to tie the score at 28-28 and send the game into overtime.

Amendola retired from the NFL in 2021 and currently resides in Austin, Texas.
