Daytime Emmy® and WGA Award winner Dan O’Connor has been a lifelong fan of “General Hospital.” O’Connor became a writer on “General Hospital” in 2013, writing the 50th anniversary episode. Since 2019, he has served as co-head writer with longtime colleague Chris Van Etten.
O’Connor began his career interning for “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and Marvel Comics. He worked for several years as the writers’ assistant on ABC’s “One Life to Live” before joining the writing team for its final season, penning the ABC broadcast finale. O’Connor has also worked under “Monk” creator Andy Breckman, writing a crime procedural for Lionsgate.
