Daytime Emmy® and WGA award winner Chris Van Etten is a longtime fan of daytime drama, thanks to indoctrination at childhood by his Aunt Joan. He graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2001 and took a job with ABC's “One Life to Live,” eventually joining its writing team and remaining on staff until its final season. In 2012, he moved to “General Hospital” and became a “GH” co-head writer in 2017.
In addition to his television work, Van Etten has written young adult fiction, including co-creating the “Likely Story” series with noted YA author and editor David Levithan.
